Barrier Wear Owners Off To Prison For Biting The Army That Fed Them

There is an old Marxist adage that proves anyone doing business with such reds is a dope
“The last capitalist we hang will be the one who sold us the rope”
Shows the folly of justifying the pursuit of the almighty dollar
And why those who did business with Iran deserve the jailhouse collar
Just as bad my be the contractor that defrauds the army that feeds it
Greed and cutting corners to increase profit too much of a lure for fraud to commit
Ever since 1941 clothing for our Army must be made in the U.S.A.
With labels attesting that fact of display
Barrier Wear had a multimillion dollar contract to supply the Army with cold weather gear
Knowing the profit that must have been in the contract one would think that law Barrier Wear would adhere
But no the company used its plant in Mexico to the order fill
Breaking the law and maybe shoddy goods that would fail to keep out the chill
A customs agent spotted something in the labels and the former owners’ scheme went for naught
$2.1 million in forfeitures and now awaiting sentencing up to five years, a heavy lesson taught
Trump has awakened the wrath that when it comes to trade with China and Mexico, the U.S. fleeced,  plays the fool
But here it is sickening that our own citizens are the traders wielding the fleecing tools
