No Hang Tens For Surf City Pot Shops

Huntington Beach may be Surf City of the 60’s Beach Boy reign

But when it comes to culture clash the relations are somewhat strained

The voters of California ruled in favor of medical marijuana by passing Prop 215

But walk the streets of the Surf City and not a single pot shop is on the scene

We all want zoning to property values protect and upward control

But banning a legal business should never be a city’s sanctioned role

Unlike Colorado but like now Ohio pot in the Golden State has never been approved for recreational use

Probably most of the observance of regulations limiting to sale to patients are way too fast and loose

But the proper way to deal with the problem is not with the equivalent of nuclear attack

But enforcement against those dispensaries whose adherence to restrictions on dispensing seem to lack

Surf’s up but regulations and bans have not ebbed down

Way too uptight image for a surfing town
