Freezing at Starbucks

When it comes to coffee, Starbucks leads the pack
Always looking forward from its Pike Street beginnings and never looking back
Bold moves on the tattoo, gun carrying and racial front
When it comes to expansion and profit it swings for the fences never bunts
But when it comes to carbon foot prints, this coffee drinker has an idea to suggest
It is time for the freezing level of air conditioning to be addressed
If you are in the Starbucks at the corner of Wilson and Harbor
It may not be snowing inside but feels like January in Ann Arbor
Meat lockers or ORs seem like tropical paradises compared to this frigid place
Given the adherence to Green causes and Fair Trade this is an environmental disgrace
We know that Starbucks sells coffee cups and mugs
But not clothing or logoed rugs
Maybe a clothing line of Holsteins
So fitting for cows as part of a meat locker scene
Maybe brewing coffee creates for the baristas a deadly amount of heat
Which might render their prompt and efficient service somewhat effete
Maybe too many people after one cup of caffeine
Are staying too long and from the free Wi-Fi do not want to be weaned
But at this Starbucks and many others I suspect
It is time to the freeze them out strategy at Starbucks to reject
Too much air conditioning at too low a temperature use
Is a major climate change environmental abuse
