The Fugitive The Sequel Is Real Life

The news out of Penwell, Texas was like a sequel to The Fugitive
But here the nightmare was real not acted and at least ten men no longer live
A sequel without Tommy Lee Jones and Harrison Ford
Just one fatal release for the men on a prison bus aboard
A bus carrying inmates to El Paso slid off an icy road and flips over onto the rails
Union Pacific carrying freight appears and the bus it nails
Wrong place and the wrong time and for at least ten their lease is up
No time to plan, no time to say goodbye as death comes in a manner abrupt
Just another reason to the purpose of one’s life ponder
Never a time to one’s goals postpone or from them wander
Christ was right; death can come like a thief in the night at anytime, at any place
Live life like today could be your last without a chance to your acts retrace
