To criticize
Islam in Saudi Arabia in print or on a blog
Means a
great chance the blogger will be flogged
1000 lashes
in public at the rate of 50 each week
Free expression
is not something a Saudi can seek
Plus ten
years in prison to be confined
Plus a quarter
of a million dollar fine
We are
looking to the Saudis to help in the ISIS campaign
We need their
territory on which the Syrian rebels to train
Our concern
for human rights gets trumped by the need to ISIS defeat
So the slow
march of the Saudis out of the feudal ages will have to take a back seat
Brutal and
barbaric and with women always at war
But a taste
of what Sharia and ISIS for us would have in store
Yet another reason
to approve Keystone XL
Energy
independence so we won’t need the oil they sell
