Wendy Davis 30 Seconds Of Shame Outweighs Filibuster Fame

Warhol had it right –anyone can have 15 minutes of fame
In Wendy Davis’ case she has 30 seconds of complete shame
Her opponent for governor Abbot is paralyzed in a wheel chair
Her ad slams him for taking a settlement and not helping others a smear unfair
This woman’s only accomplishments seem to be her long filibuster against an abortion bill
And dumping her husband after he paid all of her law school tuition bills
Abbot says he has a spine of steel and this desperate attack he will deflect
One only hope Texans on this outburst from Davis will properly reflect
There is a code among Texans not to attack a man when he is down
But to Davis a man in a chair is fair game as civility from her is unwound
Once again history has given us yet another lesson to teach
At your peril support a candidate only due to how well or how long she can deliver a speech
